ABSTRACTMedical education, as many other aspects of México’s health system has seen many and important changes during the last years; however, serious problems are present, one of them being that research in medical education is in its initial stages of development and still lacks both specialized methodology and theory, despite innumerable articles on the subject. This article contains a proposal for a consensus to set the basis for the development of an academic space for the discussion on research in México’s medical education.
