Annular atrophic lichen planus

ABSTRACT
Annular lichen planus is a rare variant of lichen planus that is clinically characterized by itching plaques of annular morphology with central atrophy. Histopathologic findings showed features of lichen planus in the active border whereas the centre showed epidermal atrophy. The elastic fibers had been destroyed in the papillary dermis. Six cases of this entity have been previously reported. We describe a new case of annular atrophic lichen planus.
