Lupus erythematosus profundus with severous secondary lipoatrophy

ABSTRACT

Lupus erythematosus profundus is an unusual variant of cutaneous lupus erythematosus that mainly affecting the subcutaneous fat. We report a case on a 58 year-old woman with deep subcutaneous nodules in buttocks, arms and back. The lesions dissappeared leaving severe and desfiguring lipo-atrophy.
