ABSTRACT

The topic of creativity has awakened the interest of scholars in several fields: historians, psychiatrists, sociologists and the literati have all discoursed on creativity in the Arts and Sciences, and many have discussed its origins and proposed cognitive, biological, psychoanalytic and evolutionary theories. The author of this study considers that all of them have something to say on the theme of creativity. While he considers that none offers a sufficient explanation, he suggests that there are three histories that come together in every human being and that they may be related to the origins of creativity.
