ABSTRACT

The recurrent abdominal pain represents the 10% of the pediatric consult. In most of the cases it origin is orientate to pshycological factors more than organic causes, but this factor represents an important role on its fisiopathology. There´s no reason to hurry on make a diagnosis, we have to considerate a protocol that allow us to find the organic causes for being treated with medications. This article expose useful concepts to apply in the evaluation of patients with recurrent abdominal pain for give them a better diagnostic and treatment.
