ABSTRACT

Early maxillary orthopedics is a kind of treatment that has been used since 1992 at the cleft lip and palate clinic in a children´s Hospital in Puebla. It is propose a new design of an orthopedic decive for unilateral clefts enhancing the balance and hormonic growth and development on the middle face that besides acts as a virtual palate, stabilizing and aligning the alveolar maxillary segments and prevents the outcoming maxillary collapse.
