ABSTRACT

The intentional dental replantation consists on the relocation of tooth in its alveolar socket of which has been displaced total or partially in an accidental or intentional way. It is fundamental the approach of the dentist in the election of the appropriate technique to establish the successful treatment in the replantation that in occasions it allows the patient the conservation of the tooth, fundamental for its physiology and aesthetics, for a while more or less lingering. Before that exposed we describe a 10 years-old masculine patient case report, that he requests the services of the Clinic of the Master of Pediatric Stomatology of the BUAP for their dental rehabilitation. To the interrogation, the mother refers a blow at level from the maxillary central incisisors temporary to the 6 year-old age. In the exploraation intraoral, the absence of the tooth number 21 is observed, with space loss for an appropriate eruption, with a seemingly normal soft tissue. A radiographic examination showed conversion in the ICSI, beginning the treatment with the placement of fixed apparatus for the recovery of the space mesiodistal then it continues with the surgical of intentional dental replantation, with the adaptation of the alveolar socket using a surgical drill, the incisor was then replanted and placing membrane reabsorption and bone implant, next it splinted to the neighboring crowns for six weeks with wire gauges 0.012 and resin, finally a root treatment was make it, obtaining this way so far a favorable prognosis.
