ABSTRACT

The cleft lip and palatal is a problem which its objetives of treatment are very complicated to achieve and the patients with this problem are submitted by too many surgeries to replace the functions of swallowing, phonation, matication and a better psychotherapist development. Howevwe, the upper maxilar bone deficence persists and creates concave profiles. One of the best methods that exists for this kind of patients is the osteogenic distraction of the maxilla, with this procedure is possible to reach an harmonic and stable profile. With a multidisciplinary view is posible to offer a better life cuality to adult patients with this problem.
