Surgical treatment of cortical dysplasias that epilepsy at dificult control

ABSTRACT

Brain cortical malformations are a frecuent cause of focal epilepsy in children and adult. Recently these cortical dysplasias are diagnosed more frecuently with the new inmaginoly and 25% at cortical dysplasia have being diagnosed as the ethiology of focal epilepsy. Since these malformations are not controled medicaly the surgery is a possible treatment even as the results are notas satisfactory an improvement might be archived in 80% at the causes.
