ABSTRACT

Breast reduction should create a long lasting beautiful breast with minimal scars, and has been one of the most satisfactory surgeries for the patients for fifty years. There are a number of techniques in plastic surgery always searching for the ideal surgery: one that is easy to teach, and that has reproductible results and preserves function; one that forms a good-looking breast with a good projection and is lasting. The techniques that have been used in this Department over the period of fifty years are examined in this paper.
