ABSTRACT

Objective: The prevalence of Ancylostoma, Ascaris and Giardia in the stool was evaluated in five district (Santo Amaro, Lapa, Tatuapé, Osasco and Santana) of São Paulo City, Brazil, in 1978 and 1998. There were computed 2,283 and 4,908 examinations in the respective years, using the method of Hoffman, Pons & Janer.
