ABSTRACT

The Endometriosis is the presence and growth of the mucus’s glands and estromas’ glands in the Uterus, in a heterotopic aberrant situation. It’s cause is unknown and can create some theories. The statistics says that it is present in 3 to 10 % of all women in reproductive age, and in 25 to 35%of infertile women and 5 to 15 % of the laparotomies done in women in reproductive age. The typical findings are the implants in endometriosis, endometriomas and adherents. The most frecuent place this disease is detected is the ovary, followed by the bottom of the sac, uterosacros’s ligaments, posterior surfaces of the uterus and widen ligaments and of course the rest of the pelvic peritoneum. A final diagnostic can be only done by laparoscopic or laparotomic, observing directly the implants. Inside of the therapeutic options are: anesthetic , hormonal and surgical.
