ABSTRACT

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease which incidence has increased worldwide over the last decade. The primary syphilis is characterized by the chancre, which heals spontaneously after 1-2 weeks, and then the secondary phase begins; however, in 15% for the cases this lesion can overlap.
