ABSTRACT
Introduction: Computerized baroplantography has been a diagnostic method for the evaluation of the treatment of patients with rupture of the Achilles tendon.
Objective: Demonstrate the efficacy of a early rehabilitation program in patients after a tendinoplastia.
Material and methods: Longitudinal, prospective, comparative study. Group 1. 35 patients with Achilles tendinoplastia. Group 2. The same patients of group 1 with a institutional program. Group 3. People with healthy control age matched.
Statistic: Variance analysis, χ
2 and Fisher test.
Results: Computerized baroplantometry comparing 3 groups, showed a statistical difference for plantar pressure, plantar area pressure, surgery side, maximal zones in 1, 2 toes, 1, 2, 3, 4, metatarsal surgery side 2, 3, metatarsal healthy side. Group 1 and 3 analysis with differences for plantar pressure 1, 2, toes 1, 2, 3, 4, metatarsals of surgery side 2 and 3 metatarsal healthy side. Group 2 and 3 analysis without differences.
Conclusions: Early rehabilitation programs in patients after an Achilles tendinoplastia can to evaluation the pressure, force and area the foot and give the directive rehabilitation from the secondary flexors, and reduce the time of rehabilitation.
