ABSTRACT

Venous thromboembolism is one of the most clinical emergencies in vascular surgery and obstetrician/gynecologist; understanding the physiology and pathophysiology of hemostasis and thrombosis in pregnancy is essential. Prompt recognition and diagnosis of venous thromboembolism permits to initiate appropriate therapy to prevent further maternal and fetal morbidity mortality.
