ABSTRACT
We report a clinical case of a periapical cyst of inflammatory origin, in a 26-year-old male patient. A retro-alveolar parallelism technique was used for the purposes of locating the lesion and establishing its presumptive diagnosis. Later on, the involved teeth underwent endodontic treatment, as well as a surgical intervention to remove the cyst and an apicoectomy of the affected teeth. The surgical material was subjected to anatomopathological examination, which confirmed our earlier presumptive diagnosis. Then, we decided to follow-up this clinical case. Based on all these findings, the inflammatory periapical cyst was studied according to sex, age and location, after performing a review of the literature.
