ABSTRACT
The paraganglia is a special tissue of the neural crest associated with autonomic nervous system operated sorne that chemoreceptors, localizated in carotid's bifurcation and they detect changes in de pH blood. blood pressure. O2 and CO2 pressure, cardiac and respiratory rhythm. They are unique or multiples (familial)’ and thev associated to paraganaliomas in others body sites. The tumour glomus is know that glomic tumour, carotid body tumour, chemodectoma7 nonchromaffin paraganglioma or neuroendocrine tumour. Is a benign neoplasm originated to the smooth vascular muscle, with possibility of malignant of 5-10% and determinate for neighbors tissues invasion, ganglions metastasis and recuirences. We presented a case of the woman of 42 years old, without systemic records, she operated for glornus turnours resection in the carotid’s bifurcation right.
