ABSTRACT

We present a clinical case of ossifying fibroma in a 17-year-old female patient. Clinical and radiographic studies were performed using primarily panoramic and occlusal techniques, resulting in a presumptive diagnosis of ossifying fibroma; a number of possible differential diagnoses were also considered. Next, histopathological studies were carried out, leading to our presumptive diagnosis being confirmed. Based on the data presented in this clinical case and having reviewed the current literature, we analyzed ossifying fibroma in terms of location, gender, age and jaw affected.
