ABSTRACT

Liposarcomas are pleomorphic neoplasm with low incidence, only 19% arise from retroperitoneum, most of are not etiologically clear and their clinical behavior, as their histological pattern are complex; that is the reason of our interest to report this clinic case. Male of 42 years old with a giant retroperitoneal mass in the right side and normal laboratory tests. The patient underwent surgical resection of retroperitoneal mass and the pathology report was low grade myxoid lyposarcoma. These kind of tumors presents a better prognosis than other retroperitoneal sarcomas. The gold standard treatment for this pathology is the complete surgical resection, periodical overview and the right evaluation of adjuvant therapy in each case.
