eosinophilic cystitis.

ABSTRACT

Eosinophilic cystitis is a rare inflammatory disease that in some occasion could be indistinguishable from a bladder neoplasm. We present the case of a 65 years old male with hypertension and with antecedent of smoking who present with macroscopic hematuria with difficult control who has image studies with high suspicious of a bladder lesion. We made a transurethral resection with a histopathological result of eosinophilic cystitis. It was managed with bladder fulguration and continuous irrigation with a transurethral drain with favorable evolution. We review literature for this case.
