ABSTRACT
All emotions and psychic state is reflected in corporal parameters, giving a somatic expression. One of them is the smile, that gives a beautiful, harmonic and healthy effect, which takes place in the human being. Exists different types of smile in relation to their anatomical characteristics an their pathology. Without fear to be mistaken, we can affirm and conclude that the man is, of all the animals, the only one able to smile, constituting a sign of his rationality.
