ABSTRACT

This work shows the degree of association between job stress and work demands the type of contract, in unionized employees (workers) and confidential employees (administrative) in a specific workplace, engaged in manufacturing auto parts; the study is correlational, field, transversal to test hypotheses with a non-experimental design without direct intervention of the concomitant variation of independent and dependent variables (Kerlinger and Lee 2001); to know precisely the stress profiles Occupational used the SWS-Survey ©, Mental Health, stress and work (Gutiérrez and Ostermann 1994) which stands for (in English) are the concepts Self, Work, Social, and Literacy Assessment and Monitoring of Occupational Health (PROESSAL) (Noriega, Franco, Martínez, Villegas, Alvear, López 2000) in the category of labor requirements, and guidance of observation for statistical analysis used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) for Windows. Through knowledge of the relationship established between job stress and job demands, where there were some significant differences in demographic characteristics by group and working characteristics are proposed intervention alternatives to improve or modify the conditions work and thus the overall health workers.
