ABSTRACT

The radiosurgery is a multidisciplinary technique delivering a high single dose of ionizing radiation in small target with minimal risk to perilesional tissues. Basically the procedure includes the clinical selection and target digital image guided definition. Treatment planning and treatment application.
It is mandatory to keep in mind the conformality and selectivity in order to assure the highest efficient rate and the lowest risk of complications.
The potential risk depending on the conformal and selective capabilities of the equipment are discussed.
