ABSTRACT

EE is a chronic inflammatory condition, associated to an allergic response to certain types of food. It is clearly associated with others atopic diseases. The definitive diagnosis is histologic. Therapy is based on avoidance of those antigens with diet therapy and in some cases with steroids. Its main complication until now is narrowness of the esophagus.
