ABSTRACT
Retirement is an important issue in professional life for physicians. Nevertheless, studies on this particular situation are scarce. In this symposium several aspects on medical retirement are discussed, including its planning, impact on family dynamics, psychological aspects, the medical-surgical retirement, and malpractice as a result of age.
