ABSTRACT

Objective: To demonstrate that surgical treatment of degenerative cervical column with anterior decompression and fusion, with plate-cage PCB (Scient’X)
Patients and method: The use of the plate-box PCB (Scient’X) was valued in 30 patients with a follow-up of 4 to 24 months.
Results: It was used traditional technique of previous approach with transverse type, time of surgery was of 35 a 45 minutes, with satisfactory post-surgical evolution, and quick recovery for the integration of activities.
Conclusion: Surgical treatmen of degenerative cervix spine with anterior decompression and fusion, with the use of PCB box plaque (Scient’X) gives favorable results, does not show disc space collapse, in a maximum follow-up of 24 months. Stability showed till now is absolute.
