The Revista de Enfermeria del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) was created in 1988 in response to the need of nursing staff to have adequate vehicles of information, communication and exchange, as noted in the first editorial by Dr. Carlos MacGregor, Deputy General Medical Director: “it starts a publication that aims to provide the bond among nurses of the Institute and with nurses of other institutions.”
