ABSTRACT

Two cases of gastroschisis treated in the Hospital Médica Sur are discussed. Gastroschisis is one of the congenital defects of the abdominal wall that require an aggressive medical and surgical treatment; and because the associated malformations and the metabolic and nutritional imbalance, it represents a great challenge for the pediatric team.
