ABSTRACT

Economic evaluations of health interventions reveal efficiency aspects of different interventions. In certain national healt systems, health polices depend on economic evaluations. There are four main economic analyses: Cost Minimization, Cost-Effectiveness, Cost-Benefit and Cost-Utility. The present medical education review, offers several tools to the orthopaedic surgeon for the interpretation of the numerous revisions of this kind that appear in orthopaedic journals.
