ABSTRACT
Gallbladder agenesis is an unusual condition that presents a reported incidence of the 0.01% in the general population. Even though most of the patients undergo the disease asymptomatically, some patients present a clinical record characterized by abdominal pain. The present paper analyzes the case of a patient suffering from pain in the right upper quadrant (hypochondrium) and symptoms compatible with acute cholecystitis, from which a diagnosis of gallbladder agenesis was performed.REFERENCES
