Indeterminate leprosy relapse

ABSTRACT

A 61 year old patient with indeterminate leprosy is reported. After 12 months of multidrug therapy for multibacillary leprosy, the treatment was discontinuided due to the disappearance of the lesion and negativeness of bacilloscopy. One year later, a new annular erythematous lesion appeared in the patient’s back. Bacilloscopy and histological studies confirmed indeterminate leprosy’s relapse.
