ABSTRACT

An eight-year-old boy showing a three-week history of an inflamatory and pseudoalpecic scalp lesion on the left parietal bone, associated to a cervical lymphadenopathy caused by a dermatophyte infection. Inflammatory tiña capitis or kerion Celsi is an immunological response against a dermatophyte that makes oral antifungal agents' early prescription necessary to avoid a resulting scarring alopecia.
