ABSTRACT

The miscarriage threat comes from the intrauterine origin bleeding before the twentieth week of gestation, this with or without uterine contractions, without cervix dilatation and without the expulsion of conception products. The symptoms go from secondary amenorrhea, presence of fetal vitality and abdominal colic and the possibility of vaginal bleeding or not. For a diagnostic an abdominal or vaginal echogram is required, a pelvic exam and laboratory works. Following this for treatment full bed rest and pelvic rest are recommended. The prognosis will be enhanced once the hemorrhage and colic pain are resolved.
