ABSTRACT

Amyand’s hernia is described as that containing the appendix inflamed through an inguinal hernia defect. It is a rare disease and diagnosis is usually made during the perioperative because in most cases are mistaken for incarcerated inguinal hernia. We report a patient with Amyand’s hernia with hernia repair and placement of prosthetic mesh by minimally invasive surgery.
