Mini Implants, an option for orthodontic anchorage

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The anchorage in orthodontics is the less optimal docking unit mobilizes and mini implants arise in response to this need. Objective: To identify criteria for the use of mini implants as orthodontic anchorage. Conclusions: miniimplants constitute novel technique applied orthodontics although Cuba have used little. They are considered an option for maximum anchorage, but not first choice for all patients, since there are indications, advantages and disadvantages for their application.
