Control of essential hypertension with auriculotherapy in workers of the Engineering and Architecture No. 15 Project Enterprise

ABSTRACT

A clinical and therapeutical trial was carried out in 60 patients between 30-59 years old, belonging to the doctor´s office of the Engineering and Architecture Project Enterprise No. 15, from "Armando García Aspurú" Teaching Polyclinic in Santiago de Cuba, from May to November, 2010, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the auriculotherapy in a population with essential hypertension, for which 2 study groups of 30 members each were randomly formed. The acupuncture therapy turned out to be of low cost and it was effective in 66,6 % of the series.
