Presumptive diagnosis of the macroglobulinemia of Waldenström

ABSTRACT
The case report of a 60 year-old patient is described who was assisted in his health
area for presenting apparently banal symptoms and mucocutaneous pallor. The
hemochemical tests and the hematimetry revealed severe pancytopenia and marked
proteinemia, reason why other complementary tests were carried out, to check the
presence of primary monoclonal gammapathy or associated with some neoplasic
process. Primary macroglobulinemia was found, so the existence of the disease of
Waldenström was confirmed.
