Spontaneous resolution of chronic subdural hematoma

ABSTRACT

Chronic subdural hematoma is a disease that can be fatal without surgical treatment. Three different techniques used for the treatment are more faster, and effective, simple with, a definitive cure in 90% or more cases and only 5% in mortality. In chronic subdural hematoma, spontaneous resolution with conservative treatment is not an common therapeutic method because it has causes high mortality, requires long periods of time, and finally, many patients need surgical treatment. The case of a 73-years old man in Markwalder two grade, with a frontoparietal chronic subdural hematoma that was resolved spontaneously without morbility except for mild headache is presented.
