ABSTRACT
The purpose of this case is to show a surgical
procedure involving the replacement of a molar
(No. 19) that suffered a long-term furcal perforation,
causing constant symptoms in reaction
to percussion, mastication and palpation. The
patient does not want the edentulous space
but cannot afford either an implant or a fixed
prosthesis. A decision is taken to perform a
surgical transplantation of tooth No. 17 to the
site of tooth No. 19.
Clinical control and X-ray screening were
maintained over a period of one year, during
which time complete bone filling and totally
asymptomatic pulp were observed.Clinical
