ABSTRACT

It was carried out an experimental study with 40 rats Wistar (20 belonged to the control group and the rest to the experimental one), in those that a model of nutritional restriction was developed to 75 % during 3 and 5 later weeks to the weaning where morfofunctional variables of the thin intestine were determined. It constituted objective of this work to determine the main alterations that take place in the intestinal morphofunction of the undernourished rats. The intestinal morphofunction in the undernourished animals of the 3rd week is affected and he/she spreads to recover when increasing the time of malnutrition. The morphology and functionality of the thin intestine are in correspondence in the results. The affectation that takes place is expressed in decrease of the weight, longitude, content of proteins and in the activity of one of the enzymes of the border in brush of the enterocite.
