ABSTRACT

Merkel cell carcinoma is an aggressive neuroendocrine cutaneous tumor of the elderly with rapidly growing incidence over the past years, it occurs more frequently in immunosuppressed in¬dividuals. The best outcome is achieved with multidiscciplinary management including surgical excision of primary tumor with adequate margins and post-operative radiotherapy to control local and regional disease.
