ABSTRACT

We perfomed a study in 3092 blood donor attending the Blood Bank of San Vicente de Paul Hospital (HSVP). This study was done to determine the frequency of phenotypes Rh-Hr system, specifically to all Rh negative donors. The most common phenotype is ccdee, however, less frequent phenotypes are Rh negative donors, which can sensitize patients following a blood transfusion o postpartum. We find that the 812% corresponds to total Rh negative donors, of which 7.50% are ccdee phenotype and only 0.62% have phenotypes very low frecuency that we find the C antigen or E antigen.
