ABSTRACT

Digital presentations are the following step in the evolution of scientific sessions that represent the need to have a critical analysis of these to be able to give recommendations that are valid. We took 110 files of the classes taught in one year in the Service of Plastic Surgery of the National Medical Center “20 de Noviembre”, average size of 14.76 megakilobytes, containing an average of 61 slides per presentation, 11.1 lacks of spelling, 15.6 outlines, and 16.1 pictures. It was demonstrated that 54% of the presentations were overloaded in text. Most of the outlines and pictures were obtained by scanners, bearing good quality. 60% of the slides showed a dark background with a clear text color. In 9% of the sessions there were technical flaws. Taking into account the results it is possible to give 15 recommendations to have good presentations in a Service of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
