ABSTRACT

Complete or partial dentures supported in remaining teeth or implants are called overdentures. We present a clinical case that demonstrates the effectiveness of this type of prosthetic rehabilitation as part of the treatment in an elderly patient with temporomandibular disorders. We followed the techniques and procedures for making partial upper denture and total immediate lower overdenture of acrylic type depending on their nature. We obtained very positive results in the relief and remission of signs and symptoms of the patient.
