ABSTRACT

A characteristic pattern of lesions has been observed amongst surgeons who practice laparoscopic surgery. We applied a questionnaire to the surgically active population at the ABC Hospital in Mexico City to determine the frequency of these lesions. One hundred questionnaires were distributed, obtaining 64 responses. The results are analyzed, discussing the pathophysiology of each lesion as well as proposing ways to reduce their incidence.
