ABSTRACT

Splenic cyst is not common. We present the case of a female patient with splenic cyst treated in General Surgery Departament of General Hospital of Zone No. 4, IMSS. Patient had left hypochondria pain and a tumor of 7 cm. Splenic cyst was diagnosed by axial tomography. Laparoscopic splenectomy was programmed, but firm adhesions to the abdominal wall and colon converted open form into a complete total splenectomy. Histopathological study reported a splenic epidermoid cyst.
