ABSTRACT

The Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a Retrovirus since its replication mechanism shows a great biological diversity. Constantly new clades and recombinations are detected and they are integrated in the general panorama of the HIV filogenetics. In its taxonomic classification it is important to consider its genetics as well as the biological properties. Immunology through ELISA with synthetic peptides can contribute to an increase in the specific knowledge of biodistribution, phenotypic associations, and transmission routes as well as to get the most complete classification possible.
