ABSTRACT

Informatic is an important tool for Health professionals, since the use of the technologies of information and communication facilitates their acting in research, teaching and medical care. Nowadays, Informatics leans toward the migration to free software, hence in the course 2010-2011 a new program for the Medical Informatics subject was put into use. This intends a flexible approach to this change, wherever the conditions are present. However the implementation of the teaching of free software requires the preparation of the professors and that of textbooks approaching these topics. Due to the present lack of literature, an electronic book was created in order to support the teaching of the LibreOffice Ofimatic Package.
