ABSTRACT

The sense of this article, it is to relativize the scientific - biomedical concepts (that it will be named here also since western) brings over of the health, especially those of the area of the mental health, understanding that in the culture Mapuche exists the concept of küme mogñen, a much more holistic notion with regard to the topic, in which the processes of health and disease are more associated with community, spiritual and environmental areas.
