Rocky Mountain spotted fever in a child

ABSTRACT
The spotted fever implies Rickettsia rickettsii. Transmitted by, ticks, genus Amblyomma it plays determinant role in his transmission. In 2009 reported an outbreak of infection was brought by Rickettsia in Mexicali, 278 cases being confirmed, with mortality of 2.8%. We report the case of a pediatric patient which diagnosed rickettsiosis.
